Antonio F. Miudo, 71, of Fall River, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday. He was the husband of Maria Isabel (Pimentel) Miudo, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage. Born in Ribeira Quente, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Mariano Frias & Zulmira (Furtado Rego) Miudo. Antonio was an Angolan Civil War Veteran of the Portuguese Army. A resident of Fall River since 1969, he retired from Lightolier, where he worked for 36 years. An avid gardener of vegetables and flowers, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a show canary breeder, an amateur wine maker, animal lover and a loyal fan of Benfica Soccer Club. He was the father of Jimmy, Michelle and Elizabeth Miudo; grandfather of Devon Corrinne Torres; brother of Jose, Luis and Mariano Miudo, the late Joao Miudo, Teresa Pacheco, Maria Pacheco, Lucia Abetecola and Armanda Rooks; uncle of many nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated in Santo Christo Church. Pallbearers David DeOliveira, Jason Gomes, Dana Bassler, Luis and Carlos Pacheco and Richard Cordeiro brought Antonio to his final resting place at St. Patrick Cemetery.
