Antonio M. Novo, 53, of Fall River, husband of Teresinha (Avelar) Novo, died Thursday 7/28/11 at home after an illness. Born in Remedios Bretanha, S. Miguel, Azores, son of Maria L. (Miranda) Novo of Fall River and the late Francisco Novo, he emigrated to Fall River in 1998. He worked in the local textile industry for several years and then as a landscaper until his illness. Besides his wife and mother, he leaves: 3 children, Vera Pimentel (husband Alberto), Carlos Novo (wife Lina) & Monica Novo all of Fall River; 3 brothers, Francisco Novo (wife Francisca) of N. Dartmouth, Messias Novo (wife Maria dos Anjos) of Fall River & Januario Novo (wife Olivia) of Westport; 2 grandchildren, Evan & Karen; several nieces & nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, August 2, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at St Patrick Cemetery.
