Antonio M. Oliveira, 91, of Fall River, husband of Rosa (Santos) Oliveira and the late Euzebia (Massa) Oliveira, passed away peacefully after a long illness at Southpointe Nursing Home on July 9, 2019. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel Medeiros and Leonor (Alves) Oliveira. As a businessman, he owned and operated several grocery stores and also worked in the farming industry for many years prior to his retirement. A devout Catholic, he was a longtime parishioner of Espírito Santo Church. Steadfast on his work ethics, Antonio worked very hard and was an excellent provider for his family. A Benfica fan, he also enjoyed playing cards and traveling frequently to visit his homeland. Besides his wife of twenty-one years, he leaves: his children, Maria Carvalho and her husband, Antonio, Leonor Oliveira, Manuel Oliveira and his wife, Isabel, Jose Oliveira and his wife, Angela, Lucia Oliveira, and Rui Oliveira and his wife, Maria Rosario, all of Fall River, Gilberto Oliveira and his wife, Rosa, and Henrique Oliveira and his wife, Amelia, both of Canada, Natalia Camara and her husband, Horacio, of Somerset, Antonio Oliveira and his wife, Maria Rosarinha,  and Eduardo Oliveira and his wife, Helena, of St. Michael, Azores; twenty-four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Maria Medeiros, Luis Oliveira, Manuel Oliveira, Jose Oliveira, Joao Oliveira, Margarida Arruda, Leonor Reis, Helena Reis, and Francisco B. Medeiros. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, July 12th, in Espírito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
