Antonio P. DaCosta, 97, of Dartmouth, husband of Maria Rosa (Moniz) DaCosta, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026, at home, surrounded by his family. Born in Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores, Antonio was the son of the late Manuel Jacinto daCosta and the late Maria do Carmo (Pacheco) daCosta.

Antonio worked as a dedicated laborer for many years prior to his retirement from Mass Electric. He enjoyed gardening, raising cows and making his wine every fall. Most notably, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

Besides his loving wife, Antonio leaves his daughters, Elaine Marie Santos (late husband Augusto Joseph Santos), of Dartmouth, and Anna Marie Cabral and her husband Nicolau (Nick) Cabral, of Dartmouth; five grandchildren, Stephen Augusto Santos, Nicole Ann Cabral, Andrea Maria Santos Sickoll, Crystal Ann Cabral and Jacob Nicholas Cabral; four great-grandchildren, Noah Nicolau Rock, Navy Rae Santos, Augusto Russell Sickoll and Nico Amin Mamoun; sister Conceicao Marcos, of Lisbon, Portugal; he was predeceased by a brother and two sisters. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Calling Hours to be held in Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford Street, Fall River, on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

His Funeral will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 9:00 am from the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St, Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered in St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10:00 am. Committal Service and interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
