Antonio A. Reis, 80, of Fall River, husband of Isaura M. (Pereira) Reis, passed away on January 16, 2019, at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Antonio Carvalho dos Reis and the late Helena Jesus (Costa) dos Reis, he emigrated to Fall River in 1976.

A member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union ("I.L.G.W.U.") now called UNITE, he had worked for many years in the local textile industry at various companies – retiring from the former Aberdeen Manufacturing Co. in 2000.

Besides his wife, of fifty-five years, he is survived by: a son Antonio Jorge Reis, and his wife Gilda, of Westport; a daughter-in-law, Ana M. Reis of Fall River; a brother, Duarte Reis of St. Michael, Azores; five grandchildren, twins Ashley Dupere & Victoria Reis, Kyle Reis, Jacklyn M. Reis, and Vanessa Marie Reis; two great granddaughters, twins Emma & Nora Reis; several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Rui M. Reis; and a brother of the late Maria Oliveira and Cremilde Isaura Reis.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, January 22nd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
