d. Apr 1, 2023
Antonio R. Silveira, 79, of Fall River, husband of Maria J. (Correia) Silveira, passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, April 1, 2023, after an illness. Born in St. Miguel, Azores, a son of the late Manuel da Silveira and the late Natalina da Medeiros, he emigrated to Fall River in 1969.
Antonio spent his adult life working as a machine operator at Plymouth Rubber, then at Lightolier and finally at Duro Textiles until his retirement in 2008. Antonio enjoyed early mornings going fishing as well as working on a friend's farm. An avid soccer fan, Sporting CP was his favorite team, and he spent countless hours cheering them on. Antonio found joy in providing for his family and the quality time spent together.
