Antonio Vieira, 92, of Quarry St., passed away November 6, 2009 after a short illness. Husband of the late Maria Jesus (Felix) Vieira. Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Jose and Maria Filomena (Laranja) Vieira. He retired from Lightolier 27 years ago. He was a member of Our Lady of Light Society and enjoyed gardening and making wine. Tony was father of Antonio M. Vieira, Gabriel Vieira (wife-Robin), Jose Vieira (wife-Susana), Phoebe Amaral (Husband-Edward) and Maria Winiarski (husband Ronald; grandfather of Gabriel Gouveia, Amy Nowacki, Nina Carreiro, Joshua Amaral, Phoebe and Marisa Vieira; great grandfather of Zaina, Andrew, Kurtis, Ariana, Kody, Aidan and Kiley. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated in Espirito Santo Church on Thursday (11/12). Pallbearers Joshua Amaral, Mark Carreiro, Kevin and Gary Medeiros, Jason Nowacki and Gabriel Gouveia took Antonio to his final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
