Antonio R. Viveiros, 96, of Fall River, husband of the late Maria G. (Martins) Viveiros, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day at the Catholic Memorial Home after a brief illness. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel and Helena (Rodrigues) Viveiros.

Prior to his retirement, he was a laborer in the construction industry for many years. An avid Benfica fan, he also loved gardening, making his own wine, religious processions with its wonderful loud band music, cruises, and traveling to such places as Brazil and Cape Cod. Antonio was not only a hard-working man, he also was considered to be a true "family man" and was very much devoted to his wife and children.

He leaves: his loving children, Louis Viveiros and his wife, Rachel, of Cottageville, South Carolina, Marie Hom and her husband, Gary, of North Dartmouth, and Ana Maria Viveiros of Fall River; his grandson, Jonathan Hom; his sister, Helena Carvalho (late husband, Manuel) of Brazil; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Antone Manuel Viveiros and brother of the late Manuel, Jose, Maria, Hilda, and Germana.

Due to the pandemic, his private funeral was held on Wednesday, December 30th, from our Fall River Chapel with a Funeral Mass in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame.
