Arciolinda T. Pombo, 80, of Fall River, wife of Jorge Pombo, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center, Somerset, after a long illness. Born in Vilarinho-Lousa, Coimbra, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Luis Tavares and the late Maria (Costa) Tavares.

Before emigrating to the United States she lived in Mozambique throughout her adolescent years until she emigrated to Fall River in 1970.  She was employed for a number of years in the local garment industry and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union (ILGWU). Arciolinda then worked as a certified nursing assistant for many years, at Clifton Rehab Nursing Center and at St. Anne's Hospital. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she treasured the opportunity to help raise.

Besides her husband, of 55 years, she is survived by two children, Jorge Pombo (wife Jennifer) of Somerset and Sandra Cameron (husband Daniel) of Westport, and four grandchildren, Jason and Justin Pombo, Alexander and Jonathan Cameron.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, December 10th, in Santo Christo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center for all their care and support.
