Arlene B. (Sylvia) Klausen, 71, of Sycamore St., Swansea, passed on December 9, 2018, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Wife of E. Thomas Klausen, Arlene was born in New Bedford, to the late Edward J. and C. Barbara (Dabrowski)  Sylvia. Before her retirement, she was a court officer for many years at the Superior Court in Fall River. Besides her husband of 27 years, Arlene is survived by 2 daughters, Atty. Marcella M. Bouchard and Atty. Gina P. Mccandrew, both of Orlando, FL; a son, Dr. Mario Pereira of Providence, RI; a brother, Atty. Edward J. Sylvia, Jr. of Dartmouth; 5 grandchildren, Asher, Megan, Kai, Cora and Chaz;  several nieces and nephews. Her funeral arrangements were private.
