Armanda Da Piedade Antunes, 81, of Ridge St. passed away on January 31, 2009 at Clifton Nursing Center, Somerset. Wife of Jose Antunes. Born in Lousa, Portugal, daughter of the late Antonio Inacio and Amelia Silva, she immigrated to this city from Mozambique in 1977 and worked at the former Bristol Knitting Mills until she retired. She was the mother of Joaquim Antunes and Amelia M. Valente; grandmother of Wilson and Peter Valente and great grandmother of Dakota Valente. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Santo Christo Church. Pallbearers George Pombo, Danny Cameron, Louie Ferreira, John Inacio, Gadiel Ortiz and Peter Valente brought Armanda to her final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
