Armando Almeida, 94, of Somerset, passed away Tuesday after a brief illness. Husband of the late Maria "Mimi" (Albuquerque) Almeida. Born in Aldeia de Soito de Vide, Beira Alta, Portugal, son of the late Manuel and Maria Jose Almeida. A construction foreman, he worked out of General Laborers Union #610. Beloved father of Rita A. Pimento (husband – Ray); grandfather of Lia Pimento; brother of Aurora Ferreira and the late Jose and Virgilio Almeida, Etelvina Figeiredo, Ana Nunes and Laura Barbosa. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, April 25, in St. John of God Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Somerset.
