Artemisia Sousa, 90, of Warwick, RI, widow of Humbert "Herbie" Sousa, passed away Sunday 11/20/11 at Orchard View Nursing Home, East Providence, RI. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Manuel T. & Maria Alzira (Torres) Nogueira. A Katherine Gibbs graduate, she was a nursing unit secretary at R.I. Hospital from 1946 to 1956, and then at Miriam Hospital from 1957 to 1969. She was also a member of the Portuguese Alliance Benevolent Association. She leaves: a brother, Gilbert Nogueira of Warwick, RI; her niece and caretaker, Nancy Walters; and several other nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Manuel Nogueira Jr., & Beatrice Couto. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St Anthony of Padua Church. She was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
