Arthur F. Garcia, 90, of Fall River, widower of Eliza (Souza) Garcia, died unexpectedly on May 24, 2008 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, son of the late John & Anna (Cordeiro) Garcia Ferreira. He was employed in the local textile industry for many years as a mechanics foreman, retiring from Swan Finishing in 1986. He was a member of the former St. Louis Church. He is survived by: a daughter, Geraldine Garcia of Fall River; a brother, Alvaro Ferreira of Westport; several nieces and nephews. He was also father of the late Caroline Rodrigues; and brother of the late Manuel & John Ferreira, Margaret Lopes, Mary Vincent and Angelina Perry. Private arrangements were with Silva-Faria Funeral Home.
