Arthur L. Miranda, 95, of Somerset, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023, at Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center, Wareham. He was the husband of the late Dolores P. (Furtado) Miranda, who passed away just the prior month after 67 years married. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Manuel Miranda and the late Rose (Lewis-Alves) Miranda, Arthur resided in Somerset most of his life.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Arthur served his country honorably during both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He earned a master's degree in business administration and was employed as director of human resources at Lightolier/Phillips for many years – retiring in 1985. Arthur also served as a director on the board at the St. Anne's Credit Union and at People Incorporated.

An avid golfer, Arthur was a former member of the Fall River Country Club. He was also a parishioner at St. Thomas More Church.

He is survived by: two children, Cheryl L. Miranda of Somerset, and Bruce A. Miranda of Rehoboth; a brother, James Miranda of Florida; a grandson, Ryan Miranda; and several nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Joseph Miranda.

His cremation was private.
