Artur Ferreira, 88, of Fall River, widower of Maria (Raposo) Ferreira, died on June 2, 2008 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Rebordoza Penacova, Portugal, son of the late Joao & Guilhermina Ferreira, he moved to the Azores in 1939 and emigrated to Fall River in 1973. He was employed at the former Leonard Silver Co. of Taunton, retiring in 1985. Survivors include son Jose (& his wife Maria) Ferreira and daughters Maria (& her husband Jose) Pacheco and Doridana (& her husband Lindolph) Teles, all of Somerset, 10 granchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Arsenio, Manuel & Amelia Ferreira. His Funeral Mass was celebrated at Espirito Santo Church. Pallbearers Dario, Artur, and Tony Matos, Jeff, and Kenny Pacheco and Brian Ferreira brought Artur to his final resting place at St. Patrick Cemetery.
