Augusto DeSa, 82, of Tiverton, Rhode Island, husband of the late Sandra (Brown) DeSa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025 in the comforts of his home following a long illness. Born in Chaves, Portugal, he was a son of the late Oscar Desa and the late Ermelinda (Esteves) Desa.

Prior to his retirement he worked as a mechanic for General Motors in Framingham, Massachusetts for twenty-seven years until it's closing in 1988. He then transferred to the company's truck and bus plant in Baltimore, Maryland, from where he retired in 1994. He proudly and bravely fulfilled his role in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict, serving with the 7th Army Signal Support Battalion in Europe. He then transferred to the National Guard's 126th Signal Battalion retiring in 1993 after twenty years of service. He loved gardening, was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2045 in Swansea, and was  a member of the Bristol County Corvette Club.

He leaves his loving son Christopher DeSa of Tiverton; his grandsons, Brodi DeSa and Wyatt Desa; his brother, Almore DeSa and his wife, Maria, of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Deolinda Desa and the late Luciano Desa.

His Funeral Service was held on Thursday, September 25th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by his committal with military honors at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
