Aura (Resendes) DaRosa, 84, of Fall River, formerly of Robeson St., died on July 27, 2008. Widow of Jose Frias DaRosa. Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel & Maria (Sardinha) Resendes. After marrying Jose, they lived in Agua Retorta for many years before coming to Fall River, where she worked at the former Tioga Sportswear for 15 years. Her sons, Joseph Frias and Carlos Frias both own and operate C & J Carpets in Fall River. She is also survived by brothers, Roger Resendes of Westport and Carlos Resendes of Fall River, grandsons, David, Joseph, Jr., Joshua, Albert and Shaun Frias, great granddaughter, Tiana Frias, and many nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Manuel Frias and sister of the late Manuel, John, Joao and Aires Resendes and Gilda Medeiros. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Pallbearers Shaun, Joshua, David, Joseph and Albert Frias along with Manuel Resendes brought Aura to her final resting place at St. Patrick Cemetery.
