Aurelianio F. Medeiros, 65, of Fall River, husband of Madalena (Sousa), passed away peacefully at home on Monday after a long illness. Born in Fenais de Ajuda, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel and Maria Lurdes (Furtado) Medeiros. He worked in the roofing industry for many years prior to his retirement. Aureliano loved fishing, gardening, and cooking. He also enjoyed watching Benfica and socializing at the Don Carlos Club. Besides his wife of forty-three years, he leaves: his children, Bobby M. Medeiros and his wife Kim and Jason Medeiros of Fall River, and Elizabeth M. Gonzaga (late-husband Custodio) of Swansea; eight grandchildren, Christopher Gonzaga, Kristen Gonzaga, Dominic Medeiros, Autumn Medeiros, Aiden Medeiros, Taylor Gonzaga, Aubrey Gonzaga, and Brayden Corbin; sisters, Eulalia Sa and her husband Adelino of the Azores, Estrela Medeiros and Eduarda Christianson and her husband Kim of Canada; brothers, Mario Medeiros and his wife Fatima and Carlos Medeiros and his wife Lori of Canada; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Scottie Medeiros and brother of the late Humberto Medeiros. A Prayer Service was held on Thursday, June 14th, during calling hours in our Fall River Chapel. His private cremation followed.
