Aurora DeSousa, 96, of Tiverton, died Monday 9/3/12 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ponte da Barca, Portugal, daughter of the late Alfred & Amalia C. (Cerqueira) Sousa, she emigrated to Fall River in 1965 and lived in Tiverton for the past 20 years. Loving companion of the late Alberto P. Corga, she leaves: 5 children, Aurora C. Corga (husband Joaquim), Candida C. Barros (late husband Joaquim), Maria Alice Fernandes (husband Jose), Dialina Evaristo (husband Jose) and Antonio C. Corga (wife Olivia); 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, September 6, 2012 in Good Shepherd Parish Church. She was laid to rest at St Patrick Cemetery.
