Barbara Augustine, 73, of Somerset, passed away on April 6, 2009 following an extended illness. Widow of Frank C. Augustine. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Jose and Edith (Pimental) Arruda. She was employed by the Fall River School Department and worked as a teacher's aide in the special needs program at BMC Durfee High School for over 20 years. Survivors include a son, Mark F. Augustine of Somerset; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Wisz of Somerset; brothers, Raymond, Ronald, Walter and James Arruda, all of Fall River and Richard Arruda of Somerset; sisters, Natalie Rapoza and Joan Larrivee of Fall River; grandchildren, Ethan and Taylor Augustine and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Thomas More Church. Pallbearers Patrick Fagan, David Raposa, Richard Raposa, Derek Arruda, Eric Larrivee and Kevin Arruda brought Barbara to her final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
