Barbara Ann Soares, 76, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Louis P. Moniz and the late Hilda (Martin) Moniz.

Prior to her retirement, she was a sewing machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. An avid Red Sox fan, she also loved music, dancing, and bingo. She also enjoyed her 70 ^th Birthday cruise, bowling, and her trips to the casino. But what was most important to Barbara was spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves her loving children, Paula Soares of Fall River and Kevin Soares and his wife, Samantha, of Norwood; her five grandchildren, Landon Soares, Brody Pacheco, Bailey Pacheco, Jack Soares-Pacheco, and Penelope Soares-Pacheco; and many cousins. She also leaves behind her cherished grand-dog, Layne.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, December 14th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
