Barbara Souza, 87, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Brandan Woods Nursing Home in New Bedford after a long illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Gabriel Souza and the late Clara (Costa) Souza.

Prior to her retirement she was a presser in the local textile industry for many years. Barbara enjoyed cooking, baking, walking, playing cards, and trips to the casino.

She leaves: her loving sisters, Pauline Mello and her husband, Jordan, and Mary D. Sousa, both of Fall River; her niece, Ann Marie Golding; and her nephews, Timothy Mello, Ash Mello, Jacob Golding, and Connor Mello. She was also the sister of the late Loretta Souza, Raymond Souza, Joseph Souza, Lawrence Souza, Alfred Souza, Edward Souza and aunt of the late Jordan K. Golding.

Her funeral arrangements were private.
