Barbara Teixeira, 83, of Westport, widow of Albert B. Teixeira, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Manuel Veader and the late Mary (Gomes) Veader; and the sister of the late Maria Davis, and Emanuel James "Sonny" Teixeira. Barbara was also survived by a niece, Linda Davis Colemen, of Florida.

She loved animals, and enjoyed gardening. A private committal service was held on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Beech Grove Cemetery in Westport.
