Obituary

Beatrice "Beat" (Themuda) DePoint, 98, of Fall River, formerly of Quequechan St., died on October 26, 2008 at the Catholic Memorial Home. Widow of Jesse DePoint, daughter of the late Louis & Francelina (Silva) Themuda. A Fall River resident for most of her life, she was a retired textile worker known for her warmth, generosity and devotion to her family. Survivors include a brother, Louis Themuda, sister, Susie Farias, grandchildren, Jayne Hopkins, Debra Albro, Richard Dumas and Robert Dumas, great grandsons, Michael Hopkins & Robbie Dumas and several nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Doris Dumas, grandmother of the late Kenneth Dumas and sister of the late Mary T. Vieira, Manuel, John, Michael, Alfred and Charles Themuda. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church. Pallbearers Harry Vaillancourt, John Frank, Edward Vieira, Robert Dumas Jr., Chris Nearpass and Jeff Goncalo brought her to her final resting place at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
