Beatrice (Medeiros) Leite, 86, of Eddy St. (Home St) and Crawford Nursing Home, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Wife of Jose F. Leite and daughter of the late Pedro Araujo Medeiros and the late Ana Sousa Medeiros. Employed as a sewing machine operator in the local textile industry prior to her retirement, she was also a homemaker. Born in Fall River, she was raised in Faial da Terra, St. Michael, Azores, then moved back to Fall River in 1951. Besides her husband, survivors include: children, Manuel and Mary Isabel Leite both of Fall River; siblings, Deolinda dos Santos and Jose Medeiros Araujo both of Taunton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also sister of the late Pedro and Joao Medeiros. Her Funeral Mass was offered on Saturday (10/27) in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Father Brian Albino was the celebrant. Committal services, officiated by Father John Perry, followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton. Pallbearers were Roger Garant, Eugene Kosinski, Michael Leite, Daniel Santos, Joey Santos & Jose Serodio.
