Beatrice Mary Plourde, 89, of Fall River, wife of Robert Plourde, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2023 in the comforts of her home following a long illness. Born in Cranston, RI, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Goulart and the late Mary (Domingos) Goulart.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a Nurse's Aide at St. Anne's Hospital. She also volunteered for many years in the operating room at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She loved reading, gardening, feeding the birds, ballet, and theater. But most notably, Beatrice was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who very much enjoyed spending quality time with all of her family.

Besides her loving husband of sixty-five years, she leaves her children, Susan Banalewicz and her husband, Stan, of Somerset, and Dr. Robert Plourde, Jr. and his wife, Lori, of San Diego, California; her two grandchildren, Jessica Ottaviano and her husband, Tom, and Thomson Plourde; one great-grandson, Henry Ottaviano; her sisters, Amelia McConnel (late husband, James) of North Carolina and Alice Marrone of California; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Elaine Goulart.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, March 30th, in Holy Name Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Beatrice's memory to: Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02472
