Beatrice (Rego) Souza, 92, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Sarah S. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Candido and Maria (Arruda) Rego. She was a resident of Westport, MA for the past 71 years where she was a communicant at Our Lady of Grace Church. Beatrice was employed by the former Shelburne Shirt Company for 36 years. Upon retiring, she enjoyed being "vovo" to her grandchildren. Survivors include her three daughters: Katherine Masiello of Sudbury, Geraldine Mullaly of Swansea, and Margaret Thompson of Sandwich; two sisters: Clara Medeiros of Swansea and Sophie Amaral of Fall River; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Manuel "Ribs" and Adelino "Pee Wee" Rego. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, April 18th, in Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport, followed by her committal at Beech Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Bea's memory to the Disabled American Veterans at: DAV, P.O.
