Beatrice (Roies) Souza, 92, formerly of Stafford Rd, Tiverton, passed away December 12th, at Silver Creek Manor in Bristol. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late John and Teresa Roies. An accomplished seamstress, she worked as a sample maker for the former Samesta Junior Mfg. Co. in Fall River. Bea enjoyed tending to her garden and caring for her great grandchildren, Ceindrech and Deryn. Affectionately known as the "Tiverton Walker", she would walk all over the greater Fall River area. Beloved mother of Robert (wife-Nancy), Joseph (wife-Shirley), Edward (wife-Kathy) and the late William (his wife is Carol) Souza; sister of Mary and Barbara Medeiros, Johanna Oliveira, Laura Levesque, John and Antone Roies and the late Alice Felix and Dennis Roies. She also leaves 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a new great-great grandson, many nieces and nephews. Following her cremation, a memorial mass was celebrated at St. Theresa's Church in Tiverton on Saturday, December 29th followed by the interment of her cremains at Pocasset Hill Cemetery.
