Benigna Rodriguez, 97, of Swansea, widow of William Rolon Lopez, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, where she lived most of her life, she was the only child of the late Jose Rodriguez and the late Victoria Rivera. She moved to the Fall River area in 2014.

In Puerto Rico she worked as a housekeeper for many years, retiring in 1988. Benigna was a member of the Iglesia Pentecostal La Senda Antigua Restaurando Al Caido of Fall River.

She is survived by eight children, including her caregiver, Elizabeth Rolon Rodriguez of Swansea, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Two of her children predeceased her.

Following cremation, a Memorial Visitation period was held in our Fall River Chapel on Sunday, December 3rd. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Benigna's memory to a charity of one's choice.
