Benjamin Roger Banks, age 72, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2011, at the Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts, following an illness. A Fall River resident for most of his life, he was the loving companion of Linda Medeiros. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Mary Rose Murray. Mr. Banks was employed for many years as a salesman at Viti Motors in Tiverton, Rhode Island. He was a member of the Pvt. Joseph Francis VFW Post 486 Mens Auxiliary on Bedford Street in Fall River. In addition to his companion, Linda, surviving family members include his three children, Troy Roger Banks and Stacy L. Banks, both of Newport, Rhode Island, and Derek Yarbough of Fall River, and a brother, Brian Murray of Fall River. He also leaves fourteen grandchildren and a niece. Cremation was private.
