Benjamin G. Powers, 81, of Fall River, passed away Tuesday, December 22nd at St. Anne's Hospital. Husband of the late Lena (Lopes) Powers, he was born in Wyoming, son of the late George and Marion (Caine) Powers. Ben retired from the US Navy in 1972 after serving his country for close to 20 years. After his service, he worked at the former Anderson Little Co. for many years. Mr. Powers is survived by 2 step-daughters, Donna Sprietzer of Bonita, CA, and Joanne Paiva of Fall River; a sister, Lucy M. Newsom of Baton Rouge, LA and a niece, Laura Ann Smith; as well as several other nieces and nephews. His funeral arrangements were private. www.silvafaria.com
