Berino P. Serpa, 98, of Fall River, passed away January 10, 2009 at the Highlander Nursing Center. Husband of the late Mariana (Ferreira) Serpa. Born in St. Michael, Azores, he immigrated to this city in 1963. He loved taking care of his yard, playing scratch tickets and watching his Boston Red Sox. Father of Ceasar Serpa (companion-Geraldine) and Lucio Serpa (wife-Judite); grandfather of Nancy Estrella (husband-Joe); great grandfather of Michaela and Dylan; brother of the late Antonio and Mario Serpa and Hilda Vasconcellos. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. His funeral Mass was celebrated in Holy Name Church. Committal service was held at St. Patrick Cemetery.
