Betty Ann (Gardner) Ferreira, 72, of 100 Amity Street, died on January 27, 2008 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Richard J. Ferreira. Born in Cranston, RI, she was a daughter of the late Anna Elizabeth Gardner. Betty Ann was one of the first graduates of the nursing program at Diman Vocational High School and worked as a nurses' aide at the former Dominican Sisters Convent. Survivors include sons, Bruce Ferreira of Swansea, David Ferreira of Warren, RI and Michael Ferreira of Dighton, brother, Richard Gardner of Somerset, sister, Patricia Gardner of Somerset, grandchildren, Jason, Courtney and Lauren Ferreira, granddaughter-in-law, Mallory Jincks and a niece. Her funeral services were conducted by Father Brian Albino at the SILVA-FARIA Funeral Home on Thursday (1/31). Her committal service followed at St. Patrick Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Ferriera, George Nunes, Ron Francoeur, Jamie Cestodio, Michael Patraca and Jason Ferreira.
