Beverly Anne McCarthy, 66, of Fall River, wife of Christopher McCarthy, passed away at home on Sunday, September 8, 2019 after a long illness. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia (Farias) Machado. A true homebody, she loved cooking and baking. A devout Catholic, Beverly held her faith in God and family to be most important. Besides her husband, she leaves: her children, Derrick Silvia of Fall River, Sherrie Silvia of Rhode Island, and Joseph Silvia of Arizona; four grandchildren, Amelia Silvia, Cayla Silvia, Kerrie Butler, and Cazzimaria Johnson; her sisters, Claudette Cooper and her husband, Tom, Rosemary Daponte, both of Fall River, Madeline Byrne and her husband, James, of North Carolina, and Susan Dootson of Assonet; a brother, Robert Machado and his wife, Shirley, of Rhode Island; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Kerrie Silvia and sister of the late Theresa Binette and Bernadette Botelho. Her services, under the direction of the Silva-Faria Funeral Homes, were private.
