Brenda St. Martin, 42, of Westport, formerly of Providence, passed away January 9th unexpectedly. Long time companion of Jack Amaral. Born in New Jersey, daughter of Elizabeth (Lopes) Gaudet and the late William Gaudet. Raised at St. Mary's Home for Children in Rhode Island, she moved to this area about 15 years ago. In 2009, she was awarded "Woman of the Year" by the Prince Henry Society. She was an avid lover of dolphins. In addition to her companion and mother, Brenda is survived by 2 daughters, Rebecca and Maryssa St. Martin; a stepson, Matt Amaral; 2 grandsons, Mason and Jaden St. Martin. She also leaves several sisters, brothers, a great grandmother, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends visited and paid their respects to her family at our Fall River Chapel on Thursday, January 16. Private cremation followed.
