Bruce Joseph Ferreira, 68, of Swansea, husband of Debra (Medeiros) Ferreira, passed away Orchard View Manor, Riverside, RI, after a long illness. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Richard J. Ferreira and the late Betty Ann (Gardner) Ferreira, he resided in Swansea most of his life.

He was employed as a computer technician with Raytheon of Porstmouth, RI, for many years. An Army veteran of the Vietnam Era, Bruce was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing, hunting, boating, and snowmobiling.

Besides his wife, of 45 years, he is survived by: a son, Jason Ferreira of Swansea; two brothers, David Ferreira (wife Donna) of Warren, RI, and Michael Ferreira (wife Connie) of Dighton; a granddaughter, Jaelynn; Aunt Brenda and Uncle Richard Gardner; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Gathering to be held in Silva-Faria Somerset Funeral Home, 84 County St, Somerset, on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Continued mask-wearing is urged for those who are immuno-compromised or not vaccinated.
