Bruce F. Tidwell, 61, of Fall River, passed away July 21st, 2016. Born in Newport, RI, he was the son of the late Elmer I. and Theresa (Logozzo) Tidwell. A member of the King Philip Masonic Lodge and the Sons of Italy, Lodge #1035, Bruce was known for his persistently positive attitude, never-ending smile and relentless friendliness. He was an amazing father of Owen Tidwell of Fall River, Casey and Matthew Tidwell both of Westport; devoted brother of Nancy R. Pavao (husband-William R.) of Swansea; proud uncle of William C. Pavao (wife-Jillian) of Lincoln, RI and Gregory J. Pavao of Swansea; great uncle of Harper I. Pavao of Lincoln, RI; former husband of Elizabeth (Emery) Tidwell of Westport; brother-in-law of Fred Furtado of Somerset and Deborah Furtado of Maine; and an unforgettable friend to all who knew him.
According to his wishes, he was cremated and was buried at St. Patrick Cemetery, where he once worked. A mass for the intention of Bruce's soul will be celebrated on Sunday, August 28th, at 10:00 AM in St. Dominic Church, 1277 GAR Hwy. (Route 6), Swansea. All are invited. Please omit flowers.
