Capitolina Medeiros, 73, of Fall River, wife of Manuel R. Medeiros, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Serafim Cabral Medeiros and the late Rosa Clemente Freitas.

She was a terrific homemaker who loved cooking, baking, and shopping. A kind and selfless woman, Capitolina was also very strong-willed, particularly when it came to her family's best interests. But what was most important to her was spending quality time with her loving family, especially her granddaughter.

Besides her husband of forty-seven years, she leaves: her children, Maria Medeiros and Hermano M. Medeiros, both of Fall River; her granddaughter, Finnesse D. Medeiros; one brother, Felisberto Medeiros and his wife, Margarida, of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Ligia Silva, Esmeralda Resendes, Virginio Freitas, and Hermano Cabral Freitas Medeiros.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, January 10th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
