Carl F. Gizzi, 74, of Fall River, formerly of Westport, passed away Sunday after an illness. Husband of Jeanne (Cote) Gizzi, born in Fall River, son of the late Carlo and Lillian (Maynard) Gizzi, he served in the US Army with the 16th Signal Corps in Georgia, Arizona and Germany. Before retirement, Carl worked for the former New England Telephone Co. and enjoyed raising and racing pigeons. Besides his wife of 33 years, he leaves a special daughter, Elizabeth Almeida and her children, Marissa and Nicholas; a son, David Gizzi (wife-Margot) and their children, Karin and Kristen; along with several nieces and nephews. Carl was brother of Louis Gizzi (wife-Virginia), Charlotte Beech (husband-Ron) and the late Francis Gizzi. His Funeral Service was held on Thursday, January 21st, in our Fall River Chapel followed by his committal at Beech Grove Cemetery in Westport.
