Carlos A. Medeiros, 63, of Fall River, husband of the late Maria M. (Raposo) Medeiros, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. Born in St. Michael, Azores, the son of the late Miguel de Medeiros Ponte and the late Irondina de Jesus Medeiros, he emigrated to the Fall River area in 1977.

After having worked for several years at the former Kerr Mill, Carlos worked as a landscaper for about 10 years. He was later employed for about 8 years at the former Quaker Fabric, until an early retirement due to disability.

He is survived by: two sons, Carlos A. Medeiros, Jr. (wife Stephanie) of Fall River and Scott Medeiros of Fall River; two grandchildren, Evan A. Medeiros and Sofia M. Medeiros; three sisters, Maria Jose Ferreira of St. Michael, Azores, Conceicao Cordeiro of Fall River, and Ana Isabel Dias of St. Michael, Azores; and several nieces & nephews.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, February 15th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
