Carlos "Charlie"
Alberto Roderigues Neto
d. Feb 23, 2021
Fall River
Carlos "Charlie" Alberto Roderigues Neto, 62, of Fall River, husband of Julia (Santos) Neto, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday evening, February 23, 2021 in the comforts of his home after a long illness. Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Francisco Roderigues Neto and the late Maria Luisa (Oliveira) Neto.
Prior to his retirement, due to illness, he served as Shop Stewart for Alborg Construction and Aetna Bridge Corporation and member of the Carpenter's Union 1305. A proud graduate of Diman Regional Technical High School, Class of 1976, Charlie was also an avid sports fan who loved the New England Patriots, the Boston Bruins, and NASCAR. But most importantly, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who enjoyed spending quality time with all of them, especially at AJ's Bar and Grill.
Besides his wife, "His Jules", as Charlie affectionately called her, of thirty-seven years, he leaves: his loving children, Joshua Neto and his fiance, Kevin Brigman of San Antonio, Texas, and Kendra Neto and her companion, Vinicius Peixoto, of Fall River; his grandson and best friend, Keagan Vitorino; his sister, Mary Hedge and her husband, Ronald, of Swansea; three brothers, Gualberto "Al" Neto and his wife, Rose, of Westport, Joe Neto and his companion, Laurie of Fitchburg, MA, and Michael Neto of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Manuel Neto, Manuela Neto, and Luis Neto.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, March 2nd, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his private committal at Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Charlie's memory to: The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
