Carlos A. Ferreira, 63, of Fall River, husband of Mary Jo (Resendes) Ferreira, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 6, 2023, at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Mosteiros, St. Michael, Azores, a son of Fernanda (Mateus) of Mosteiros and the late Jose da Mota Ferreira, he emigrated to Fall River in 1980.

He was employed at the former E. C. Pigments for over 30 years until his retirement about 10 years ago. An avid soccer fan, Carlos also enjoyed fishing, especially with his dad in the "Old Country" when he was young. Most important to him was spending quality time with his family.

Besides his wife of 43 years and his mother, he is survived by: two children, Melinda Costa (husband Jose) of Fall River and Michelle Cordeiro (husband Joao) of Dartmouth; three siblings Gilberta Viveiros, Joao Jose Ferreira, and Isilda Ferreira all of St. Michael, Azores; three grandchildren, Laura Costa, Aliyah Cordeiro, and Lucas Cordeiro; several nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, October 11th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
