Carlos A. Goulart, 74, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Crawford Skilled Nursing Center after a long illness. Born in Angra, Terceira, Azores, he was a son of the late Jorgino Goulart and the late Maria de Lourdes (Sampaio) Goulart.

He served three years in the Portuguese Army and emigrated to Fall River in 1967. He was employed as a cloth inspector in the local textile industry for many years, first with JoAnn Fabric then at Quaker Fabric. Carlos was also a longtime referee with, and a former president of, the Lasa Soccer League.

Survivors include: a brother, Jorgino Sampaio Goulart of Fall River; three sisters, Laura Rodrigues, Nair Raposo, and Georgina Batista all of Fall River; and several nieces & nephews. He was also a brother of the late Manuel Sampaio Goulart and the late Maria Cunha.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, December 6th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Private Cremation followed.
