Carlos M. Pereira, 64, of Fall River and husband of Filomena (Gouveia) Pereira, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a long illness. Born in Rabo de Peixe, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Agostinho Pereira and the late Zelina Couto.

Prior to his retirement, he was a weaver at the former Quaker Fabrics for many years. An avid Benfica fan, he also loved playing cards, fishing, cruises, and participating in the annual Romeiro march. He also enjoyed listening to music, cooking, and taking his dog, Gia, for walks. But what was most important to Carlos was spending quality time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Lilly.

Besides his loving wife of thirty-three years, he leaves: his son, Phillip Perreira; his daughters, Melanie Ferreira and Melinda Pereira; his granddaughter, Lillian Ferreira; grandson, Brandon Perreira; his sister, Maria Amaral and her husband, Alfredo, of Fall River; two brothers, Agostinho Pereira and his wife, Lucia, and Belmiro Pereira and his wife, Oriana, both of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Lucia Correia and the late Maria Fernanda Ferreira.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, November 24th, in Espírito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
