Carlos F. Silvia, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at home at the age of eighty-five surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Genevieve (Lima) with whom they shared fifty-seven years of marriage. Carlos was born in Villa Povoacao, St Michael, Azores, and was a son of the late Carlos and Maria (Raposa Figueira) Silvia. In addition to his wife he leaves:  five sons, Thomas Silvia and his wife Elizabeth, Christopher Silvia and his wife Joyce, Timothy Silvia and his fiancé Pamela, Leonard Silvia and his wife Maureen, and Richard Silvia and his wife Linda all of Fall River. He was the grandfather of nine and the great-grandfather of ten. He was also the brother of Manuel Franco of Taunton and the uncle of several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, February 16th, in Holy Name Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
