Carmine DiCarlo, 86, formerly of Tiverton, passed away Wednesday after a short illness. Husband of the late Hilda DiCarlo. Born in Fall River, son of the late Nicola and Josephine DiCarlo. An army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he worked at the Newport Naval Base for many years. Brother of Joanna Wrightington and the late James (his twin) and Dominic DiCarlo, Lucy Laflamme, Pauline Pacheco and Verna Freeborn; step-father of Loretta Dionne, Eugene Dionne and Betty Lou Morse; grandfather of Michael and the late Christopher Braga. 'Carlo' also leaves several other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, including George and Beverly Freeborn, both of whom he was especially fond of. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, September 18th, in Holy Rosary Church followed by his committal with military honors at Notre Dame Cemetery.
