Catarina C. Botelho, 88, of Plain Street, passed away Tuesday after a lengthy illness. Widow of Manuel Bernardo Botelho. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Jacinto Bento Carreiro and Conceicao Helena Moniz. She was a retired textile worker. Beloved mother of Manuel C. Bernardo, Jose C. Botelho, Maria C. Melo, Catarina C. Carreiro, Regina C. Machado, Alda M. Pacheco and Natalia Carreiro; sister of Helena Rodrigues and the late Manuel Bento Moniz Carreiro, Maria M. Carreiro, Alzira M. Carreiro and Regina da Silva. She also leaves 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was offered on Saturday, December 4, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by committal services at St. Patrick Cemetery.
