Cecilia P. Teixeira of Fall River, age 76, passed peacefully at Charlton Memorial Hospital, with her husband and children by her side on Thursday, September 26, 2019. Born in Agua Retorta, Sao Miguel, Acores, the daughter of the late Manuel Maria Medeiros and Orandina Resendes Medeiros, she emigrated to United States of America in 1978.

She had worked in the textile industry and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Fall River. Cecilia enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends, reading, doing crossword puzzles and crocheting.

She is survived by: her husband Ventura P. Teixeira to whom she was married 55 years; 3 sons, Helder Teixeira, John Teixeira both of Fall River and Pedro Teixeira and his wife Kimberlee Trudeau of Needham; a grandson Henry Trudeau Teixeira; a brother, Manuel Medeiros of Fall River and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mariazinha Resendes.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, October 4th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.
