Charles Freitas, 85, of New Bedford and formerly of Pitman St. in Fall River, died on April 10, 2008 at the Sacred Heart Home in New Bedford. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late John B. and Rosa (Pinto) Freitas. Charles is survived by a brother, Br. Antone Freitas, MSC, of Pennsylvania, sisters, Mary G. Freitas of Belleaire Bluffs, FL, Olympia Caesar of Acushnet, MA and Alice Rethemeyer of Belleaire Bluffs, FL, and several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Albon, Paul & George Freitas. His funeral mass was celebrated in Espirito Santo Church. Committal Service was held at Notre Dame Cemetery.
